ROCPopLife LIFE project celebrates #Natura2000Day at Area Marina Protetta Miramare BIOMA on Sunday 20th of May
Our WWF and WWF OASI party precedes the World Biodiversity Day on May 22, organized by the UN to underline the importance of defending and protecting natural richeness coordinated by Annalisa Salace and the kind support of Sara Kaleb from Università degli studi di Trieste, Sara Menon and Nicole Pillepich’s drawings .
During the day we will focus on the importance of Marine Forests; one of the rooms of the new visitor center of the Miramare MPA will be dedicated to activities aimed at the general public, children and young people.
There will be:
a corner to tell animated stories for children with Nicole Pillepich drawings
an hands on laboratory for children
frontal activity for adults.
The activities of#Natura2000Day will be repeated throughout the afternoon (from 15.00 to 18.00) in a continuous cycle.
It will be an opportunity to talk about the importance of the marine forests, the dangers that threaten them, describing ROC-POPLife, the LIFE project we are carrying out to restore cystoseira in two MMPPAA, Area Marina Protetta Miramare and Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre – Area Marina Protetta through environmentally sustainable scientific protocols.
